Will I Continue To Sin After I’m Saved?

Read First Important Need To KnowYes, because you are not saved from committing sin altogether but from habitually committing it. Premeditated sin. Committing sin on purpose.

David said, “Behold I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.” Psalms 51:5

He also ask God to, “Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.” Psalms 51:10

We were born into sin and we will die a sinner. Each day we live around sin that is polluting our vision, hearing, and mind. It will rub off on us so we commit sin.

According to 1 John 1:8 “If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us.”

Also, “He that covereth his sins shall not prosper: but whoso confesseth and forsaketh them shall have mercy.” Proverbs 28:13

That is why, “If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.” 1 John 1:9

And, “He will turn again, he will have compassion upon us; he will subdue our iniquities; and thou wilt cast all their sins into the depths of the sea.” Micah 7:19

Then, “For I will be merciful to their unrighteousness, and their sins and their iniquities will I remember no more.” Hebrews 9:9

God will cast our sins into the depths of the sea to remember no more. God will cast our sins into the sea of forgetfulness. God forgives us when we commit sin.

But, “If we say that we have not sinned, we make him a liar, and his word is not in us.” 1 John 1:10

We are sinners and will always be a sinner until we get to heaven. There are two types of sinners which are lost without Jesus bound for hell and saved by grace on their way to heaven.
