05-31-2012 – Psalms 34:1 I Will Bless the Lord

Read Bible Verse:

I will bless the LORD at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth.
Psalms 34:1

Verse For Thought:

I Will Bless The LordI will give honor and glory to God all the time.

Why do so many people think that the only time to praise the Lord is in church? Because it’s not true. David said he would “bless the LORD at all times.”

I’m pretty sure that he did not stay at church 24 hours a day. He had other obligations that occupied his time. But he made it a point to always remember God.

With hectic schedules that preoccupy our minds it’s easy for several days to to go by and never thinking about God. This is a real shame considering what he did for us.

Why not rethink how a day in our life is spent. By putting the Lord right smack dab in the middle of what is done.

Could that be the reason why so many people have bad days? Stop leaving God out.

Your Thoughts:

How often do you put God in the middle of your daily activities?

05-30-2012 – Psalms 32:7 Selah

Read Bible Verse:

Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance.
Selah.
Psalms 32:7

Verse For Thought:

SelahThroughout the book of psalms you’ll find the word selah mentioned several times. It is a musical direction which means to pause or to raise the voice. How does this apply to our christian walk with God?

1. Pause to get directions. Men are the worlds worst about getting lost, does not want to admit it, and refuses to stop to get directions. Did you know that many christian’s are the same way. They are like the energizer bunny that keeps going and going and going.

The problem is not the keeps going part but the keeps going in the wrong direction. Most of the time when you’re lost you are going in the wrong direction and know it.

It’s time that we pause and ask for directions. Make sure you ask someone who knows what they are talking about. If not you are still lost.

Ask God for directions. The bible will point you in the right direction.

2. Pause to listen. When you ask for directions and do not pay attention then you will still be going in the wrong direction. I’ve given directions to people before and watched when they left to see what direction they went and believe it or not they turned the opposite way that I had told them.

So make sure that you listen carefully and understand the correct way to go. If you don’t understand then ask questions or ask someone else until you fully understand. Being lost is a scary feeling.

So don’t be afraid to ask for directions and listen carefully in order to get back on the right track.

Your Thoughts:

Do you ask for directions as soon as you know that you are lost or do you wait?

05-29-2012 – Psalms 32:7 Thou Shalt Compass Me About With Songs Of Deliverance

Read Bible Verse:

Verse For Thought:

During troubled times that we all go through from time to time allows discouragement and depression to set in. If something is not done about it then the end results could be devastating. This is not what we want.

That is why God will surround us with words of encouragement. These words will come from different sources like family, friends, books, bible, songs, and the list continues.

They will comfort, console, and cheer us up. You may be disappointed at first because it may appear to be landing on deaf ears. But fret not it’s doing some real good even if we don’t realize it.

Your Thoughts:

How often does God come through for you surrounding you with words of encourage from unimaginable places?

05-28-2012 – 1 Corinthians 16:13 Be Strong

Read Bible Verse:

Watch ye, stand fast in the faith, quit you like men, be strong.
1 Corinthians 16:13

The Verse Challenger: Find out more here.

Verse For Thought:

Memorial Day is when the United States remembers the soldiers that died while serving in the military service. As I thought about this subject and then decided to do some research. This is what I found.

When in a war zone…

1. A soldier is always on watch. Looking around checking out their surrounding for enemy attacks.

2. A soldier stands fast. They take a firm stand where nothing will move them from there position until they are relieved.

3. A soldier is courageous. They are filled with courage. Instead of running away from danger they run toward it.

4. A soldier is strong. It takes a man or woman that is mentally and physically strong to do what they are trained to do. Also, they have to have a strong will and spirit.

You see this type of soldier whether they are in the US military services or serving God have to have these qualities.

Prayer Request May 27 – June 2 2012 – John 16:24 Have Ye Asked Nothing In My Name

Date: Sunday May 27, 2012 – Saturday June 2, 2012

Prayer Verse:

Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
John 16:24

Prayer Thought:

When you pray who do you address? It’s like when you get someones attention to talk to you address them by there name.

When you pray to God you can begin with “Dear God”, “Heavenly father”, “God”, or any of his names that are referred to in the bible.

Then you begin asking and he will answer according to his will.

God the father wants you to ask and ye shall receive that your joy may be full. What a wonderful bonus to get from praying is joy.

When are you going to start getting some joy from God through prayer?

My Prayer For You:

God in heaven it’s me again. Your people have needs and request so I ask you to answer them according to your promise in John 16:24 “ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.” Heart’s and life’s are broken and hurting. Each one needs your touch. I ask you God to help and answer each one.

Amen.

05-27-2012 – Psalms 32:7 Thou Shalt Preserve Me From Trouble

Read Bible Verse:

Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance.
Selah.
Psalms 32:7

The Verse Challenger: Find out more here.

Verse For Thought:

Everywhere we go, everyone we meet, and everything we do are not safe. It’s part of living. Also, there are things that we will need to go through in life that will make us stronger and with each step grow closer to God.

“Thou shalt preserve me from trouble” does not mean God will always protect us from trouble. Sometimes we will still have to go through the troubles but God is saying that he will be by our side and will never leave.

Troubles will come and go but God will always be supporting and helping us along the way.

Your Thoughts:

Are you relying on God to help you through troubling times?

05-26-2012 – Psalms 32:7 Thou Art My Hiding Place

Read Bible Verse:

Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble; thou shalt compass me about with songs of deliverance.
Selah.
Psalms 32:7

The Verse Challenger: Find out more here.

Verse For Thought:

When all else fails. When it seems like all hope is gone. When you are at a dead end road, surrounded, and nowhere to go then it’s time to visit your hiding place.

Although you should never wait until it gets this bad. Sometimes it does happen. You need somewhere to go for help.

You might say, “I have nowhere to go?”

Yes, you do.

One thing to realize is that your hiding place is not always in a seculed, lonely, and with no one around place. It can be anyplace, anywhere, and at anytime.

You see since God is everywhere and he is your hiding place then it’s everywhere. That makes it available for use when you need it least or most every time without fail.

Try God out and see what he can do for you. Because proof is in the pudding.

Your Thoughts:

Is God your hiding place?

Verse For Thought:

Making Wise The SimpleA simple person is one who is inexperienced or easily misled. There are some people this way today. There has always been and always will be simple people.

Remember though don’t exclude yourself just yet. Because some things you know enough about to stand firm on. But others no so much.

Those others makes you simple minded in those areas. In which the Lord’s word, the bible can make you wise.

When in doubt always consult with God words first before anything else to be 100% sure on all matters. It’s always best to be sure than to be sorry.

Your Thoughts:

Are you consulting with God’s word, the King James Bible for all issues in your life first?

Verse For Thought:

The Testimony Of The Lord Is SureThe King James Bible is the Lord’s word which is his testimony. It’s his evidence of pure facts. No lies or made up stuff. Only facts.

How much more proof is needed?

The truth is the bible is all you need. No other facts are needed to support God’s word. But you do have all of the coauthors that God inspire to write his words. So that mankind would have a guidebook of instructions and truths to live by.

It’s time we as a people go back to the guidebook, the Lord’s word which is the King James Bible for advice, leadership, guidance, and help.

What are waiting for so go ahead and start now.
