04-30-2012 – Romans 15:4 There is Comfort Through The Scriptures

Verse For Thought:

Sometimes life is bad, good, great, and excellent. Each one of us have to learn how to handle all situations that are thrown our way. That means even when we areĀ  put through the wringer.

That’s when our hands are flung up in the air while making the statement, “I can’t take any more!”

Just when you’re on the verge of quitting and giving it all up something that seems to be unexplainable happens. An overpowering calm goes through your mind and body soothing your hurting soul.

This is explainable. The answer is simple.

When you read the bible, pray to God, listen to christian music, and go to church the Holy Spirit will use what you’ve read and heard to comfort you during your difficulties.

There is comfort through the scriptures.

Your Thoughts:

What verse in the bible, phrase in the bible, or song have you found comfort in?

All Things Are Possible To Do Through Christ

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
Philippians 4:13

All Things Are Possible Thru ChristWhat things are being referred to that can be done?
Can all things really be done by a single person through Christ?

Whatever life throws your way, whatever you go through, whatever seems impossible to get through, and much more God will give you the strength to keep going to get through it.

Our strength is not enough but his always is. We may fail him but he never fails us. He will forgive us.

I don’t understand why so many people try to handle tough situations on their own. When someone, God, is standing by on call 24 hours a day ready to help.

He is more qualified to help you than anyone I know. You have to be willing to ask for and accept his help. It’s only a call away.

Are you willing to ask God for his help? Are you willing to accept God’s help? His help is available.

I encourage you to. You will not be disappointed. Put him to the test and then watch what God can do.

You can do all things through Christ! That is the only way.

Will you ask for God’s help the next time you’re going through a tough time?

Prayer Request April 29-May 5 2012 – 1 Chronicles 16:11

Date: Sunday April 29, 2012 – Saturday May 5, 2012

Prayer Verse:

Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually.
1 Chronicles 16:11

Prayer Thought:

One main problem I find with most people today is that they are busy, busy, busy. To busy!

Going here, and there always with a full daily schedule. Doing other things except putting time in for God. The one who can help you the most.

It’s time to begin to seek the Lord, his strength, and his face continually.

Put the Lord in your daily schedule. Not just one time but several times throughout the day to seek him.

Seek the LORD continually!

04-29-2012 – Romans 15:4 The Scriptures Were Written For Us To Learn

Read Bible Verse:

For whatsoever things were written aforetime were written for our learning, that we through patience and comfort of the scriptures might have hope.
Romans 15:4

Verse For Thought:

You know ever since I was a little boy I’ve always wondered were knowledge came from. Not just were it came from but how does it get into peoples brain.

As I got older I see some people are smarter than others. Some people learn quicker than others. Everyone has different abilities, experiences, likes, and dislikes.

The point I’m trying to make is with this one question, “How do people learn?”

You see, The scriptures, the King James Bible, were written for our learning. If the bible lays around and is never picked up, opened and read then you will never learn it.

It does not matter what subject, topic, or interest that you are trying to learn if you never read, research, and study then nothing will be learned.

Yes, the scriptures were written for our learning but if we never pick the bible up and read it then we will remain unlearned.

So I learned that the people that love to read have developed their minds to absorb knowledge like bounty paper towels which has the quote, “The quicker picker upper!”

Your Thoughts:

Do you love to read?

These were more noble than those in Thessalonica, in that they received the word with all readiness of mind, and searched the scriptures daily, whether those things were so.

Verse For Thought:

The bible is one of the most popular books sold on the market today. It has been for many years. The question is, “Is it the most popular book read?

I believe that most bibles are purchased with good intentions to read and study them. But like usual other things more important interfere or what seems to be more important.

Reality check: one of the most important things to do is to read your bible.

In the bible you will find the truth, answers to your problems, encouragement and strength, and most important God.

As you read the bible the Holy Spirit will reveal to you exactly what you need to know at that time. When you read it and do not understand it then it does not mean you need a different version or quit reading it altogether. It simple means you need to continue to read and study it asking God to give you understanding.

Read and study the King James Bible daily asking for the Holy Spirit to give you understanding!

Your Thoughts:

When you read the bible do you ask for the Holy Spirit to give you understanding?

Jesus said, “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life:

The scripture, the bible gives plain and simple to understand instructions on how a person can have eternal life. But some people try to manipulate, twist, and change it to fit the way they believe and want to live.

There may be several different ways to get to different places here on earth but there is only one way to heaven and that is through Jesus Christ. All you have to do is search the scriptures to find out for yourself.

Read the bible! Search the scriptures!

Verse For Thought:

Would it be great to say at the end of your life that you had read the bible every day? I know that I would but I’ve already failed because several days have went by that the bible has not been read.

There are so many benefits you can get from reading the bible. But what about if someone had decided to read it every day. All the good it would do them mentality and spirituality.

04-24-2012 – Ecclesiastes 12:12 Study The Bible

Read Bible Verse:

And further, by these, my son, be admonished: of making many books there is no end; and much study is a weariness of the flesh.
Ecclesiastes 12:12

The Verse Challenger: Find out more here.

Verse For Thought:

It’s time to start studying the King James Bible!

The only way to learn is to read, research, and study. Knowledge is not going to magically appear in your brain. It will take time and effort on your part. Hard work!

There has to be a line drawn that you do not cross. To much study will cause your mind and body not to function properly causing that time and energy to be ineffective.

Two of the main key elements to effective study habits are to get the proper amount of rest and relaxation. So that the information can be understood and retained for future use.

Listen to what your body is trying to tell you but do not allow it to control you. It can and will open up plenty of opportunities to give excuses to not study but do other things instead. Push through these times forcing yourself forward to a greater improved you.

Study long and hard with the proper amount of rest and relaxation to get knowledge!

Your Thoughts:

What are some of your effective study habits?

Love Never Fails

Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.

And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.

And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

Charity suffereth long, and is kind; charity envieth not; charity vaunteth not itself, is not puffed up,

Doth not behave itself unseemly, seeketh not her own, is not easily provoked, thinketh no evil;

Rejoiceth not in iniquity, but rejoiceth in the truth;

Beareth all things, believeth all things, hopeth all things, endureth all things.

Charity never faileth: but whether there be prophecies, they shall fail; whether there be tongues, they shall cease; whether there be knowledge, it shall vanish away.

For we know in part, and we prophesy in part.

But when that which is perfect is come, then that which is in part shall be done away.

When I was a child, I spake as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child: but when I became a man, I put away childish things.

For now we see through a glass, darkly; but then face to face: now I know in part; but then shall I know even as also I am known.

And now abideth faith, hope, charity, these three; but the greatest of these is charity.

1 Corinthians 13:1-13
